Group Caddie

Guide

Use Group Caddie on your phone — offline & installed

No app store needed. Here's how to score on the course with no signal, and how to add Group Caddie to your home screen so it opens like a real app.

It works on your phone

Group Caddie is a website built mobile-first — there's nothing to download to start. Open it in your phone's browser, sign in, and you're scoring. The whole scoring screen is built for one hand on the cart: big tap targets, a single hole at a time, quick swipes between holes.

How offline scoring works

Lose signal on the back nine? Keep scoring. Group Caddie saves each hole on your phone and quietly syncs the moment you reconnect — you don't lose a stroke and you don't have to do anything. When you're back online it catches up automatically; a small banner lets you retry by hand if a sync ever stalls.

  • What syncs: the scores you enter while offline, in order.
  • What to expect:a brief “syncing” state when signal returns, then it's caught up.
  • The honest caveat:the leaderboard for the whole group reconciles once everyone's phone is back online.

Install it like an app (PWA)

Adding Group Caddie to your home screen gives you a one-tap, full-screen app — no browser bar, no app store. Steps differ by phone:

On iPhone (Safari)

  1. Tap the Share button in your browser bar.
  2. Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add to confirm.

On Android (Chrome)

  1. Tap the menu in Chrome's top-right corner.
  2. Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
  3. Tap Install to confirm.

Native apps are coming

Dedicated iOS and Android apps are on the way. Until then, the web app already does everything you need on the course — it's mobile-first, it scores offline, and it installs to your home screen today. Nothing here changes when the native apps land.
