Last updated: August 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Group Caddie, LLC (“Group Caddie”). By using Group Caddie you're agreeing to the terms below.
What this is
Group Caddie is a tool for organizing golf trips — rosters, tee times, scoring, side games, and tracking who owes what when the trip's over. It's not a betting platform, a payment processor, or a sportsbook. It's a place to keep score and a record of the wager you ran with your friends, the same way you'd keep it on a notepad.
Public beta — free to use
We're in public beta. While we're in beta:
- The app is free. No tiers, no paywalls, no card on file.
- We'd love your feedback. If something's broken, slow, or confusing, tell us — feedback shapes what we ship next. Email hello@groupcaddie.com.
- Expect some rough edges. Beta means beta. We try not to break things, but if a feature's flaky, please let us know and we'll get on it.
Future pricing
We may introduce paid plans down the road — that's how we keep the lights on. If we do:
- You'll know in advance. No surprise charges. We'll give meaningful notice (at least 30 days) before any pricing kicks in, and we'll be clear about what's changing and why.
- Your trip data stays yours. Past trips and scores stay accessible regardless of plan, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
- A free tier is the goal. The plan is to keep something useful free and charge for higher-end features (larger trips, advanced analytics, etc.). No guarantees on the exact shape — but that's the intent.
No real money is handled
The trip pot, side-game payouts, and settle-up screens are record-keeping. Group Caddie never charges, holds, transfers, or processes money. When the round's over, you settle outside the app — Venmo, cash, however your group does it.
Disputes between players over a wager (a missed putt, a contested skin, who owes whom) are between you and your friends. We're happy to help if there's a bug; we won't arbitrate the trash talk.
What you agree to
Don't do anything that would make running this app harder for everyone else:
- Don't use Group Caddie for anything illegal where you live, including illegal gambling. Friendly group wagers settled in cash among friends are usually fine; if you're unsure about the rules in your jurisdiction, that's on you to check.
- Don't try to break, scrape, or abuse the service.
- Don't harass other users or post content that doesn't belong on a golf trip.
We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. We'll try to be reasonable about it.
Your content
Photos and other content you upload stay yours. By uploading, you give Group Caddie, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, resize, and display that content to run the app — for example, showing your trip photos to the people on your trip, or using a photo you choose as a course image. We don't sell your content or use it for advertising. Deleting content (or your account) ends the license, except for copies already shared to your trip that others' recaps reference and short-lived backups.
Only upload what you have the right to share, and don't upload photos of people who'd object — the same courtesy as any group chat.
As-is and limited liability
Group Caddie is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep your data safe and the app working, but we can't promise it will always be available, accurate, or bug-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to Group Caddie is limited to what you've paid us in the last twelve months — which, during beta, is zero.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll let you know in-app before the change takes effect. Continued use after that means you're good with the update; if you're not, you can delete your account.
